Inspiration gone south…

I am a big fan of Florabella. Her work is stunning and every post she puts up on Facebook makes me gasp but her photos of horses get me every time. They are always perfectly galloping, in perfect light with their manes and coats braided and brushed and glistening and looking ready for show. It’s incredible!! So I was leaving a session the other night and the light was gorgeous and our Clydesdale’s at Fort Steele grabbed my attention. I thought to myself “surely I can capture something nearly as beautiful with these horses?” So I pull my van in, pull out my camera and get ready to capture an incredible image of one of these amazing horses…..Kimberly photographer, kimberley, BC
As my five year old would say “That was an epic fail!!” LOL And in case your interested – here is one of my fave images from Florabella

Fine Art Friday | Kimberley BC Photographer

Back in January I posted that I had joined this wonderful group and we were going to be posting our Fine Art once a month….well it’s April (how did that happen??) and here is my second post. I think it was hard to be inspired when everything was under snow, and it was cold and there was no sign of spring in sight. But every year around Easter, bunches of Tulips and Daffodils brighten grocery store isles and every year I buy 1 bouquet, just to get me through until my own start to peek out of the dirt in the garden. My fine art photo this month is of the tulips I bought this year.
Enjoy!

Smash!

I really, really love cake smashes. They are one of my favorite things to shoot for sure. It’s one of my favorite ages for kids and they have so much fun. They usually start out kind of timid. You can almost see the baby saying “you want me to do what with this cake???”  Then they get the hang of it and it’s crazy!!! So enjoy sweet little Mataya and the awesome cake  from Crumbs Cakery. And yes…it did taste as good as it looks.
